The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it really is alarmed with regard to the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the sassa status servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
